Located in Newport, Isle of Wight, Diametric specialises in precision engineering and occupies a two-storey industrial unit. The building is constructed with a metal trapezoidal roof. Their energy consumption profile peaks during weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. As a client of NatWest, Diametric approached Absolar to find solutions to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
Energy saving: The first-year annual production of the PV system is projected to be 18,500 kWh which will cover a large proportion of the annual energy demand of the property.
Payback: 82% of the solar energy produced will be utilised onsite, shortening the payback period of the PV system to 4 years.
Project management: The project was managed by a dedicated project manager to ensure that no obstruction was caused to the day-to-day operations of the property and to the customers visiting the store.
Many thanks for the survey you (Absolar) produced for our Newport factory. I have recently been in contact with two local firms, but they were either too expensive or very poor on communication.
