The building had been recently renovated with a new roof using a Sarnafil membrane covering material. As a result, the solar PV system was custom designed to be compatible with the specialist roof covering whilst retaining the warranty, utilising integrated mounting system to construct the unique solar PV system.

Located in Totton, Southampton, Hobbs specialises in commercial lithographic print and digital services. With commitment to sustainability, the building was installed with 960 solar PV panels in 2015; and in this project, a new section of solar panels are added to the other side of the roof.

With a footprint of over 25,000 square meter, the Draper Tools building in North Baddesley is a large scale industrial warehouse, supplying quality trade, professional and DIY tools. The building has a span of over 210 metres, with multiple roof sections and numerous skylights, which need to be carefully considered as part of the solar system design to 1) ensure health and safety during the installation process and 2) to optimise solar energy generation.

Their energy consumption profile peaks during weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. As a client of NatWest, Diametric approached Absolar to find solutions to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.

The two-storey office building locates in a densely populated area at Winchester city centre, bringing engineering challenges to this project including logistics and scaffolding access - both were closely managed by Absolar's project management team. The building has a slate roof, and the client has chosen to install an in-roof solar system, integrating solar panels into the roof with an aesthetic appearance.

The Engineering Centre is a newly constructed property located in the University of Southampton Science Park which serves as a home for various innovative companies and innovation hub for University of Southampton.
